Derek Hennecke, president and chief executive officer of Xcelience, has been named a finalist in the EY Entrepreneur of The Year 2015 Florida Awards. The award program recognizes “high-growth entrepreneurs who demonstrate excellence and extraordinary success in such areas as innovation, financial performance and personal commitment to their businesses and communities.”
 
“It’s an incredible honor to be chosen as a finalist in this prestigious race,” said Mr. Hennecke. “As part of the race to develop drugs to fight cancer and so many other debilitating diseases, we have the ultimate motivation to innovate. Lives depend on us. We routinely tackle projects others say are impossible – whether it’s going global or building a new facility on spec. We are determined to make drug development faster, more efficient, and more economical.”
 
The EY Entrepreneur of the Year is judged by an independent panel using a precise due diligence process. The Florida regional award winner will be announced June 11, 2015 at the Omni Orlando Resort at Champions Gate. The winner will compete for the coveted title of national EY Entrepreneur of the Year in November. Later in the year, a global winner will be chosen from among 145 cities and 60 countries.
