Harlan Labs Expands Imaging Services and Disease-Validated Models

Offers expanded capabilities at Israel research center

Harlan Laboratories has expanded its disease-preconditioned animal model and imaging services at its specialty research center in Israel. Through the expansion, Harlan offers chemically, genetically and surgically preconditioned models for disease states including: autoimmune disease, diabetes, cancer, tissue repair, metabolism and obesity, and osteoporosis. In addition, Harlan has expanded its imaging services with MRI and CT scanning technology for evaluating therapeutic options in animal models. 
 
“Harlan has developed proven, GLP-validated methods for inducing specific disease-state phenotypic responses in research models, which helps our customers assess the therapeutic benefits of their pharmaceutical compounds, biological products and medical devices,” said Joe Meyer, vice president of Global Commercial Operations, Harlan Laboratories. “By supplying the experimental models, conducting the evaluation study and reporting the results, Harlan provides a comprehensive service platform for the evaluation of potential therapies and devices.”
