Bosch Packaging, Klenzaids Establish JV in India

Aims to expand global reach for liquid pharmaceuticals and packaging machines for clean rooms

Bosch Packaging Technology and Klenzaids Contamination Controls Pvt. Ltd. have entered a joint venture in India under which Bosch will acquire a 49% share in Klenzaids, which produces processing, packaging, and clean-room technology for the pharma industry. The JV aims to extend global reach for liquid pharmaceuticals and packaging machines for clean-room environments, as well as to better serve Indian customer needs for complete lines from a single source.
 
Klenzaids will contribute its clean room and processing technologies as well as peripheral systems, and Bosch will contribute its filling technologies. The joint venture will be headquartered in Mumbai and is expected to employ 380 associates. The plan is subject to the approval of the antitrust authorities. Financial terms were not disclosed.
