Mikart Inc., a contract development and manufacturing organization, is fully compliant with 2017 through 2023 Drug Supply Chain Security Act (DSCSA) mandates for serialization and aggregation.
 
According to Blair Jones, vice president of sales and marketing, Mikart has already successfully “run serialization from bottle to pallet” for millions of tablets since September 2015.
 
The Atlanta based company has partnered with Optel Vision, which makes the hardware and software that generates, reads, applies and verifies codes throughout the entire packaging process, and TraceLink, the data warehouse that makes all the information contained in the serialization codes available to every point in the pharmaceutical supply chain.
 
“Applying identifying codes to all levels of packaging really plays an important role in countering the growing problem of drug counterfeiting and in ensuring consumer safety,” said Mr. Jones.
 
Mikart offers services including pharmaceutical development, clinical trial manufacturing and packaging, regulatory submissions, commercial scale manufacturing, and packaging.
