TriNetX, a global health research network for healthcare organizations, biopharmaceutical companies, and Contract Research Organizations (CROs), has earned certification to the ISO/IEC 27001:2013 Information Security Standard. 

The globally recognized standard pertains to instituting and maintaining information security management systems (ISMS) in organizations, and specifies the requirements for establishing, implementing, maintaining, and continually improving an ISMS from within.

“Healthcare organizations and pharmaceutical companies are extremely concerned about the security of patient data,” said Kshitij Kathuria, vice president, Security and Compliance and security officer at TriNetX. “The ISO/IEC 27001:2013 certification demonstrates a clear commitment to information security management from TriNetX and assures customers that we have the preeminent security controls in place to handle their data.”

The certification comes after a year-long effort by TriNetX that included developing documentation for 10 major clauses of the Standard, implementing processes to comply with information security controls, and an audit of its electronic and physical security policies and procedures.
