Novilytic Wins SBIR Grant for Antibody Tech for Pharma Manufacturers

$1.4 million contract will support research, development and commercialization of Novilytic’s new Proteometer.

Novilytic LLC, a Purdue University-affiliated bio-analytics startup, has been awarded a Phase II SBIR contract by the National Institute of General Medical Sciences, one of the National Institutes of Health.

The $1.4 million Phase II contract will allow Novilytic to continue the research, development and commercialization of its new Proteometer. The new instrument technology is being created for process chemists and engineers who need to develop better process quality and control. The instrument is designed to test antibody purity in process.

The company will be opening new labs and hiring additional scientists in the coming months. Through the support of the Purdue Research Foundation and Purdue Foundry, Novilytic will continue to grow in the West Lafayette, IN area.
