ACG, the pharmaceutical supplier, has appointed two senior executives in Europe. Daniel Illmer joins as design head – encapsulation, and Afsaneh Nakhavoli, as design head – tableting. Both join the company’s R&D facility in Germany.
 
As design head – encapsulation, Illmer will oversee product development, maintenance, improvements, redesign, and will report to Werner Bongers, CEO, SciTech, ACG. Illmer joins the ACG team from Robert Bosch Packaging Technology GmbH, where he was responsible for mechanical design, development, and engineering among other areas. 
 
Nakhavoli’s new role as design head – tableting will include leading innovation and product development, with the same reporting lines. In the last seven years as a project engineer at Fette Engineering GmbH, Nakhavoli led the development and construction of automatic capsule-filling machines.
