Texas-based Platinum Press Inc. to Open Additional Full Service Pharmaceutical Packaging Facility in Oakland, NJ

Leading Healthcare Packaging Supplier Nearly Doubles Production Capacity of Printed Components in Response to Growing Customer Base

Grand Prairie, TX – Operational as of November 1, Platinum Press, Inc. (PPI), a Texas-based full-service pharmaceutical packaging facility, has opened a state-of-theart, 47,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Oakland, NJ in response to a growing customer base. The new plant currently employs approximately 24 highly skilled packaging professionals, and ads are posted for second shift positions. The ultimate goal is to operate 24 hours a day (three shifts).

Opening the modern, multi-million-dollar New Jersey facility with the same capabilities as its Texas plant ensures Platinum Press complete redundancy, reduces shipping costs, improves turnaround time and alleviates weather-related shipping/production issues. The company specializes in packaging solutions such as labels, folding cartons, blister packaging, inserts/outserts and medication guides for the pharmaceutical, medical device and animal care sectors.

Until now, many of Platinum Press’ pharmaceutical packaging components were shipped from its Texas production plant to the NY/NJ metropolitan area. The new Oakland, NJ location also will strengthen the company’s position in the northeast market, providing a base from which it can better serve its expanding customer base. Of course, New Jersey is home to several noteworthy pharmaceutical manufacturers. That said, Platinum Press’ entry into the NJ manufacturing scene creates an intrastate “made and used in NJ” business environment with many of its customers.
