Versatile, flexible containers are designed for easier storage and use.
One 2 One flexible containers are designed for products that remain stable in a liquid formulation and can withstand terminal heat sterilization. The containers are available in a wide variety of sizes and configurations.
VisIV® Containers
Comprised of an advanced multilayer plastic film, VisIV® is the first large volume plastic flexible I.V. container to require no overwrap. Standard flexible I.V. containers require an external plastic overwrap to serve as a moisture barrier. With no overwrap and an advanced film, the VisIV® container results in approximately 40 to 60% less waste than other flexible I.V. containers. VisIV® containers are made from DEHP-free, non-PVC materials that provide the thermal stability, moisture barrier properties and inertness required for I.V. medications. Sizes range from 50 mL to 1 L.
Copolymer Elastomer Containers
The proprietary CR3 elastomer, a copolyester ether, combines the chemical resistance, toughness, autoclavability and inertness of polyesters with flexibility over a broad temperature range. The CR3 flexible containers remain remarkably clear and free of the blush or haze that can occur in high-temperature autoclaving for medical applications. Sizes range from 50 mL to 500 mL.
Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) Containers
PVC is one of a broad range of materials used to manufacture medical products. It is the primary choice for use in intravenous (I.V.) applications because it meets the demanding requirements of many applications for the healthcare marketplace. The flexibility and compatibility of PVC are useful for manufacturing drug products in a flexible I.V. container. PVC containers are available in sizes from 50 mL to 3 L.
