Abstract:

At Bachem, we are constantly striving to improve our industry standards by developing innovative and efficient large-scale manufacturing processes for active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs). Thereby, our operations entered the Industry 4.0 era and started their business transformation towards a smart factory. Watching this webinar, you will learn more about our transformation journey. Using the solid-phase peptide synthesis (SPPS) process as a case study, we will present how Bachem optimizes equipment usage, reduces operating times, and increases the flexibility of production by implementing process automation. We will also report on the benefits of our digitalization strategy, such as paperless documentation, improved first-time right rates, data analytics, and higher data safety and integrity.
