Pine Pharmaceuticals Launches NY Facility

The $5.6M cGMP 503B outsourcing facility in the Riverview Solar Technology Park was opened in May 2018

Pine Pharmaceuticals has launched a new $5.6 million cGMP 503B outsourcing facility in the Riverview Solar Technology Park, in Tonawanda NY.

The 25,500 square foot facility was built by Montante Construction and will produce sterile and non-sterile products for hospitals, surgery centers, clinics and physician offices.

The state-of-the-art site includes offices, clean rooms and warehouse space, which enables Pine Pharmaceuticals to expand its operations. Pine Pharmaceuticals has already created over 25 new jobs, and the Company is currently hiring for positions in production, administration, sales, customer service, quality, and distribution.

“Pine Pharmaceuticals is proud to have already doubled our employees here in Western New York,” said Alfonse J. Muto, owner of Pine Pharmaceuticals. “We want to thank everyone involved in the project. From Montante Construction to all of our public sector partners, this project has been a true collaboration. It will allow us to enhance productivity and increase capacity so that we can expand our products and services to an already nationwide customer base.”

Pine Pharmaceuticals worked collaboratively with BHNT Architects and Montante Construction to design and construct the new facility and Montante Construction completed the facility in December 2017.

“Our team came together to construct a project for Pine Pharmaceuticals that would meet their needs and deliver on the technically challenging space, including cleanrooms that limit pollutants and control environmental factors such as temperature, humidity and pressure,” stated Doug Elia, president of Montante Construction. “The project site is also part of a low-impact green business park, combining a convenient location for Pine Pharmaceuticals with an attractive building, spectacular scenery and a new solar energy system.”

The Pine Pharmaceuticals facility includes a 22-kilowatt roof top solar array, designed and installed by Montante Solar, which enables Pine Pharmaceuticals to save money, reduce its greenhouse gas emissions and contribute to a cleaner environment. It is a seamless blend of innovative design and solar technology, without sacrificing comfort or productive space layout.
