Editor’s Take: This week on “The Friday Brief,” we are live from BIO 2026 in San Diego.

One piece of news we brought you at contractpharma.com this week was Lonza’s new agreement with InduPro. This is to support development of next-gen ADCs. We have a couple more items from Lonza on our Live from Show page.

Also, this is a good time to remind you to sign up for our weekly newsletters. Not only will you get the breaking news—but also these Live from Show updates, and previews of special content.

More from BIO

We will have a longer-form conversation with Lonza publishing in the next couple of days, so stick around for that.

We also spoke with SK pharmteco at BIO, regarding their launch of a proprietary, multimodal viral vector platform. This unites three core modalities: AAVs, lentiviral, and adenoviral vectors.

Additionally, there was news at BIO coming from Johnson & Johnson, Aragen, HIPRA Biotech, and Shilpa Biologicals. Again, check it all out at our website, or through our newsletters.

Around the Industry

Addressing the other news of the week, Lilly expanded its R&D partnership with Abbisko Therapeutics. Boehringer Ingelheim is partnering with Combotope Therapeutics on tumor-selective antibodies for cancer.

TELEO Capital is acquiring Applied Materials’ Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Intelligence platform. Circio and Tcelltech have entered a research collaboration for CAR-T therapies. And Sartorius has expanded its collaboration with LFB Manufacturing.

That’s probably plenty to digest for one week. So long from San Diego, and we will see you next week, on The Friday Brief.
