Hims & Hers will stop advertising compounded GLP‑1 products and will give existing patients the option to transition to branded, FDA‑approved medicines.

Novo Nordisk has signed an agreement with Hims & Hers Health that will allow the telehealth provider to offer FDA‑approved versions of Ozempic and Wegovy at self‑pay prices comparable to other digital health platforms. The deal will take effect later this month.
As part of the arrangement, Hims & Hers will stop advertising compounded GLP‑1 products and will give existing patients the option to transition to branded, FDA‑approved medicines when clinically appropriate.
This news comes after Novo Nordisk ended its partnership with Hims & Hers Health last year, citing “deceptive marketing” and the selling of “knock-off compounded versions” of its obesity drug, Wegovy.
“This agreement with Hims & Hers is a meaningful win for patients in the United States,” said Mike Doustdar, President and CEO of Novo Nordisk. “By expanding access through leading telehealth providers and digital care platforms, we are helping to connect more people with our FDA-approved medicines, which have been evaluated for safety and efficacy… Our goal is simple: ensure that every patient who can benefit from our medicines has the opportunity to access them, wherever they choose to receive care.”
The partnership will make the full suite of semaglutide products—including all strengths of injectable Ozempic and injectable and oral Wegovy—available to Hims & Hers users. Novo Nordisk said the medicines are in broad supply across more than 70,000 U.S. pharmacies, the company’s NovoCare Pharmacy, and select telehealth platforms.
Wegovy, available as an injectable and as a pill, is approved for chronic weight management and for reducing the risk of major cardiovascular events in adults with obesity and established heart disease. Ozempic is approved for improving blood sugar control and reducing cardiovascular risk in adults with type 2 diabetes.
Novo Nordisk will drop its patent‑infringement lawsuit against Hims & Hers but said it retains the right to refile.
