Anthony (Tony) Mitchell has been appointed president and chief operating officer of Pharma Tech Industries (PTI). Mr. Mitchell will be responsible for short and long-term strategic growth plans as well as further enhancing the company’s business models for maximum growth potential.
 
Mr. Mitchell will also foster skill set growth among the workforce of more than 350 specialists in two facilities for PTI’s varied production environments, including the manufacture and packaging of Rx, OTC, medical devices, cosmetics and consumer disposables.
 
Mr. Mitchell has more than 25 years of business management experience. He joins the company from Morrison Management Specialists, where he most recently served an eight-year tenure as chief financial officer.
 
Mr. Mitchell joins the company during a period of growth with expanded and upgraded capabilities and services. PTI recently expanded its on-site testing capabilities at its Royston, GA plant and is currently expanding its production facility in Union, MO. The investment will add approximately 60,000 sq. ft. of manufacturing space, which will be used primarily for the production of ingestible powders and include a production room built to ISO8/100,000 cleanroom standards. The project is scheduled to be completed in March 2014.
