Recipharm has appointed Ann Flodin as general manager of its wholly owned new subsidiary Recipharm Laboratories Inc. in Research Triangle Park, NC, formerly Cirrus Pharmaceuticals

Following the acquisition of Kemwell’s U.S. development business in April 2016, Ms. Flodin will be responsible for managing daily operations at Recipharm in Research Triangle Park and will focus on expanding and strengthening the development services Recipharm offers its customers in the U.S.

With a background in chemical engineering, Ms. Flodin has more than 20 years’ experience within the pharmaceutical industry, with knowledge of both contract development and manufacturing services. She joined Recipharm in 1996 as a scientist within Process Engineering before moving on to manage the pharmaceutical development laboratory. She joins Recipharm in Research Triangle Park from a senior position in group operations development and has previously been general manager at Recipharm in Höganäs, Sweden.

“Ann brings valuable experience to Recipharm in Research Triangle Park having worked within a variety of roles within the group. She and her team will contribute greatly to the ongoing development of Recipharm and its establishment in the U.S.,” said Carl-Johan Spak, executive vice president, Recipharm.

Recipharm’s operations in Research Triangle Park will enable it to strengthen the support services it offers to pharmaceutical companies in the U.S. It will provide specialist pharmaceutical and analytical development services with a special focus on inhalation, topical and transdermal products.
