West Appoints Key Executive

Silji Abraham is the company's new senior vice president and chief digital and transformation officer

West Pharmaceutical Services has appointed Silji Abraham senior vice president and chief digital and transformation officer. He will be responsible for driving a digital transformation at West to improve business performance across the enterprise, and will oversee the IT and Enterprise Business Systems departments.

In addition, he will lead West’s ongoing efforts to enhance customer engagement through digital marketing, digital manufacturing, and automations to accelerate internal business processes.

“Silji Abraham is a seasoned executive with a track record of delivering growth and driving change at multinational companies in the life sciences, industrial automation and automotive sectors,” said Eric M. Green, president and chief executive officer, West. “As West continues to execute our long-term strategy to serve as the leader in the integrated containment and delivery of injectable medicines, the effective use of technology and strong business processes will be critical to our success, and I am confident Silji will speed our transformation in both of these areas.”

Mr. Abraham brings more than 20 years of experience in leading IT organizations, and most recently served as executive vice president and chief information officer of MilliporeSigma, a subsidiary of Merck KGaA, Darmstadt, Germany.
