Bilcare Research Inc., the U.S. arm of one of the world’s largest manufacturers of blister packaging solutions, Bilcare Research, will host its fourth annual educational event, Bilcare Academy, covering a range of topics designed to enhance pharmaceutical packaging development and selection.

The event will take place at the Hyatt Regency in New Brunswick, NJ on September 26, 2018—one day before the 17th Annual Contract Pharma Contracting and Outsourcing Conference & Tabletop Exhibition.

Thomas Prusa, economics chair, Rutgers University, will kick off the seminar to share his expertise on how the tumultuous tariff war will affect the pharmaceutical industry and drug packaging options.

In addition, Jonathan Chun, principal and chief executive officer, Alliance Technologies, will present, “Keys to Quick and Effective Pharmacological Solutions with Analytical Contract Labs.”

To help the industry prepare for complex electronic DMFs to meet the May 2019 deadline, Frank Bieganousky, Montesino Associates, will instruct Bilcare Academy attendees on how to write, organize, and submit electronic DMFs, advising on best strategies and key pitfalls to avoid to ensure compliance with FDA and pharmaceutical customers’ requirements.

Jan-Niclas Bizot and Katharina Vogel of Global Pharma Packaging Solutions, PPI Bilcare Research GmbH, will present Innovations in Blister Materials, sharing the latest developments in blister films that will ensure product stability and save on packaging costs. Bilcare Academy 2018 will end with a cross-functional panel discussion featuring Bilcare Academy speakers and invited pharmaceutical industry professionals. This “Ask the Blister Experts” session will allow attendees to obtain professional consultation on their most perplexing pharmaceutical packaging issues.

Attendees will be able to continue their discussions at the after event networking reception at Due Mari, one of New Brunswick’s best-rated restaurants. For more information on how to register, visit betterblisters.com.
