Princeton Innovation Center BioLabs, powered by BioLabs, officially launched with a ribbon cutting ceremony on May 17, 2018. The space provides co-working lab and office space specifically designed to help high potential startups within the chemical, pharma, and engineering industries to maximize achievements on a very minimal cost to them.

BioLabs is a member-based network of shared lab and office facilities located in the nation’s key innovation clusters. There are already nearly 10 spaces, and more on the way coming to major cities such as New York City.

The Princeton facility is 30,000 sq ft, which includes both lab and office space. Some features include:

  • 68 lab benches, private offices and hot desks for up to 200+ scientists and entrepreneurs
  • Wet lab space for chemical, biological and pharmaceutical development
  • Dry lab space for engineering and material science development
  • Office and desk space for resident companies and related ventures

Nishta Rao, site director at the Priceton Innovation Center BioLabs, said, "This launch is a significant step in building and creating the infrastructure required for companies to succeed in translating technologies into viable commercial products which would have a tremendous impact on the community. We are excited to be working with Princeton University in supporting academic spinouts as well as the local entrepreneurial community, with the goal of developing innovating solutions and ground breaking science."

Johannes Fruehauf, founder and chief executive officer of BioLabs, told Contract Pharma that two residents have already moved into the space, and over 20 more are expected by the end of this year.
