Quintiles has expanded its data management services into Shanghai, China, in an effort to better serve customers in China and the Asia-Pacific region.
Lalit Pai, head, Quintiles Global Data Management, said: “With regional data management operations in Japan, India and now China, Quintiles can continue to deliver operational efficiencies and cost-savings for our customers, while offering services in local time zones with local expertise. The Shanghai expansion will allow us to lead biometrics in China, serving local customers, as well as customers throughout Asia-Pacific.”
Quintiles’ data management team in Shanghai will work closely with the company’s biostatistics and medical writing teams in China to accommodate increased efficiencies through integrated services. Quintiles China includes offices in Beijing and Hong Kong, which opened in 1997, Shanghai, which opened in 1998, and a network of locally-based staff. The company also recently expanded its anatomical pathology capabilities at its Beijing facility.
