Joseph Iacobucci has been named vice president of Clinical Supplies and Services at Xcelience. Mr. Iacobucci brings nearly 30 years of experience in clinical packaging and supply services, including 23 years as a vice president for Clinical Systems, Inc. His responsibilities there included business development of contract services and software products. He also served as an internal resource for software product development for clinical label generation systems and clinical inventory management systems. Mr. Iacobucci is a registered pharmacist, a long-standing member of Global Clinical Supplies Group (GCSG), an active member of Equal Partners in Clinical Supplies (EPICS), and the International Society of Pharmaceutical Engineers (ISPE).
“Very few individuals know this industry with as much depth as Joe,” said Xcelience’s chief executive officer and president, Derek Hennecke. “He is broadly recognized as an industry expert, both domestically and internationally. Joe has the experience and the ability to shape and grow Xcelience into a global, world leader of clinical supply services.”
Mr. Iacobucci will oversee Xcelience's first international expansion in Birmingham, UK. The new depot labeling facility, set to begin operations in February 2014, will provide a central distribution hub for labeling and distribution throughout Europe and is the first step in a multi-stage plan to provide clients with a global clinical packaging and distribution service.
In addition, Lindon Fellows was named chief operations officer at Xcelience in September. Mr. Fellows brings over 30 years of experience and a proven record of success in site management, manufacturing, product development, quality assurance, quality control and regulatory affairs and validation. His most recent positions include senior vice president of Technical Operations at Cubist Pharmaceuticals, and vice president of Corporate Quality Assurance at Millennium Pharmaceuticals. Prior to July 2004, he held various international positions of increasing responsibility at DSM Life Sciences Products, including managing director, director of Quality Compliance, and vice president of Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs with responsibility for anti-infectives, fine chemicals and food sciences.
