Constantia Flexibles has appointed Ibon Odriozola as head of innovation, laminates, for the company’s pharma division.
Dr. Odriozola will direct Constantia Flexibles’ Laminates Product Excellence Center, a new research center for the design and development of innovative laminate concepts. Comprising three development engineers and six application engineers, Dr. Odriozoia’s team is charged with developing technology driven, user-friendly products that help pharmaceutical manufacturers protect their products and further their brand promises.
Prior to joining Constantia Flexibles, Dr. Odriozola was head of polymers and composites at the IK4-CIDETEC Research Center in San Sebastian, Spain, a visiting researcher at the University of Leeds in the UK, a lecturer in organic chemistry at University of the Basque Country in San Sebastian, Spain, and a postdoctoral fellow at Universite Louis Pasteur in Strasbourg, France.
