Dr. Michelle Twaroski has joined Keller and Heckman LLP as a scientist in the firm’s Washington, DC office. Dr. Twaroski served for nine years as toxicology group supervisor in the FDA Division for Food Contact Notifications, Office of Food Additive Safety. She has more than 11 years of government experience in the areas of toxicology, risk assessment, and general safety issues impacting food packaging materials.
At the FDA, Dr. Twaroski had direct responsibility for the toxicological evaluation of hundreds of food-contact substances, and was also involved in enhancing the safety review of food-contact substances through the use of structure activity relationship (SAR) analysis. Most recently, she was chief of the New Chemicals Screening and Assessment Branch in the Risk Assessment Division of the Environmental Protection Agency’s Office of Pollution Prevention and Toxics.
