Ashok Ajmani has been appointed senior director of Quality at Pharma Tech Industries (PTI). Mr. Ajmani will direct all aspects of PTI’s Corporate Quality System, including Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Quality Engineering and Regulatory Affairs at the company’s two contract manufacturing plant locations in Royston, GA and Union, MO. He will be responsible for designing and executing corporate-level quality policies and procedures, as well as implementing continuous quality improvement plans for the manufacture and packaging of Rx, OTC, medical device, cosmetic and consumer disposables.
Mr. Ajmani has 23 years of experience in management-level quality control at some of the world’s largest pharmaceutical manufacturers, including a 16-year tenure at Merck, where he managed the systems-based site audit program and site compliance plan at the company’s Albany, GA facility. Mr. Ajmani also served five years as senior manager of Quality Assurance for Boehringer Ingelheim. He joins the company from Pall Corp., where he served as senior director of Quality Assurance.
