Bruce Cousins has been appointed executive vice president and chief financial officer at Tekmira Pharmaceuticals. Mr. Cousins has more than 22 years of experience working for both large companies and leading start-ups through successful strategic growth plans.
Most recently, Mr. Cousins served as chief executive officer of Carmanah Technologies, a renewable energy company. Mr. Cousins also held positions with Aspreva Pharmaceuticals, where he led its successful IPO and later played a key role in the sale of Aspreva. Prior to Aspreva, Mr. Cousins spent 14 years with Johnson & Johnson working in operations and finance, both domestically and internationally.
