The Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP) has entered into a collaboration with CenterWatch to provide CenterWatch offerings to ACRP members starting in early 2014. The organizations will begin a series of cooperative projects aimed at benefiting the clinical research enterprise.
The agreement provides ACRP members affordable access to CenterWatch publications, training guides, white papers, career tools, the Drugs in Clinical Trials Database, and the CenterWatch Site and vendor directories. CenterWatch will host ACRP white papers on its website and include ACRP certification as a demographic in its “Research Center Profiles.” ACRP and CenterWatch will also work to co-develop new resources that address emerging clinical research issues and educate clinical research professionals.
“CenterWatch and ACRP share a passion for supporting and fostering the critical work being performed by all members of the clinical research team — patients included — which makes this collaboration ideal,” said Ken Getz, founder and owner of CenterWatch and director of sponsored research programs for the Center for the Study of Drug Development at the Tufts University School of Medicine. “Collaborative efforts like these are needed to facilitate change and propel the profession forward. I’m excited about the potential this relationship presents to make a significant positive impact.”
“ACRP is excited to align with an organization like CenterWatch, which has for years been considered the gold standard for market intelligence and professional resources in clinical research,” said ACRP executive director James D. Thomasell, CPA. “It’s an outstanding opportunity for the Association, as landmark collaborations like this invigorate the momentum of the organization and the staff, members and volunteers who are so driven to make the ACRP mission of providing ‘global leadership to promote integrity and excellence for the clinical research profession’ a reality.”
