Tergus Pharma, a contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) with expertise in topical formulations, has filled two key leadership positions with the appointment of executives Joseph Payne as VP of quality and Thomas Cobb as VP of manufacturing.
“Payne’s experience displays a high level of corporate agility that will add significant value as Tergus moves into the commercial manufacturing market,” says the company.
Payne has delivered global CDMO quality leadership supporting multiple pharmaceutical facilities in testing, manufacturing, and packaging, from product development to commercial product lifecycle phases. The company believes his competency in regulatory agency communications and team leadership skills will further ensure Tergus Pharma’s continued business success.
Cobb is a senior level executive with over 30 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry which includes the successful opening of two manufacturing facilities. He has a record of raising operational performance through quality improvement and analysis of operations and processes, while also reducing and controlling costs. Cobb focuses on customer service, continual process improvement, personnel, and team development.
“Joe and Tom are critical additions to our executive team,” said Dr. Vijendra Nalamothu, CEO of Tergus. “Their leadership and experience will help us move the business forward as we expand our services into the commercial manufacturing space and continue to grow our R&D capabilities. We are fortunate to have them as part of the Tergus team.”
