At Booth 3123, Stäubli Robotics will demonstrate its Stericlean+ robots that are designed to help manufacturers meet regulatory requirements and scale production.
In response to mounting challenges in pharma and biotech, stemming from stricter regulations and market demands, Stäubli has expanded its portfolio, introducing the Stericlean+ robot series designed exclusively for use in isolators. It features an improved hygienic design, new FDA-compliant dynamic sealings and coating on the entire surface for higher cleanability. All models are fully tested and validated by Stäubli partner SKAN, a specialist in process isolators for aseptic filling.
The first demo will be the next-generation Stericlean+ robot. Within a SKAN isolator cell, a Stericlean TX2-60L will simulate an API handling process, demonstrating its ability to perform auxiliary tasks as it carefully picks up, places and fills glass containers with high precision and repeatability, while undergoing H2O2 decontamination of the cell unscathed.
A second demo cell will feature a Stericlean+ TX2-60 equipped with an optional hollow wrist, which assures absolute hygienic design, along with an aseptic tool changer and gripper. As it runs through a standard filling application, the robot’s smooth, precise movements demonstrate its ability to pick, fill and place nested vials with high repeatability and accuracy – and no human intervention, saving personnel from a tedious task and eliminating the risk of contamination.
