EPCglobal has awarded COVECTRA the EPCIS software certification mark for AuthentiTrack serialization database and event repository. EPCglobal, part of the supply chain standards organization GS1, is dedicated to driving the adoption of the Electronic Product Code (EPC) for the supply chain.
The certification follows rigorous testing conducted by MET Laboratories, a third-party testing facility based in Baltimore, MD. The EPC software certification includes an 18-digit Global Service Relation Number (GSRN) that is globally unique to that specific software product. This certification mark ensures that software products have been tested and will work in predictable ways within the overall EPC Network.
According to a company statement, “EPCIS Certification is an extremely significant milestone for us, particularly as we expand into international markets with companies who have tasked us to implement track & trace and ePedigree within their supply chains. By choosing software with an EPCglobal Software Compliance Certification Mark, our end-users can be confident that the software will perform according to defined EPCglobal standards.”
